Partner at SEP and focuses on software, communications and semiconductors. Current investments include Powervation, a power management chip company and Clavis Technology, a data quality software company. Previously led several investments including Diligent Technologies (acquired by IBM), Tideway Systems (acquired by BMC) and Cape Clear Software (acquired by Workday). Before joining SEP, spent five years at Accel Partners and was a founding principal and a partner of the European firm. Earlier in his career, spent several years in the energy sector, primarily working on the development of large scale energy production facilities. Also spent a number of years at Ericsson and was responsible for the development of a range of different telecoms systems. Additionaly worked with the investment banking practice at Goldman Sachs in London. M.Eng.Sc and a BE in electrical engineering from the National University of Ireland. MBA with distinction from INSEAD.
