Afnajjer Hernandez

Bio

Afnajjer Hernandez is an Associate Intern at the Ecosystem Integrity Fund. His responsibilities include sector research, pipeline development and tracking, and investment due diligence support. Before EIF, Af was a Senior Strategic Planner at the newly formed Lockheed Martin (LM) Energy. At LM Energy, Af oversaw the research and development investment portfolio and was key in developing the long-term strategy. He worked alongside senior executives on business development, mergers and acquisitions, technology investments, and international market entry strategies. Before transitioning into a strategy position, Af led the LM Energy Engineering & Technology Finance team. In this role, he successfully integrated financial tools during an internal merger, developed investment tracking financial models, and held oversight of management finances. Prior to joining the LM Energy team, Af worked as a Financial Analyst for LM Missiles and Fire Control, where he developed intellectual property royalty financial models, led cross-functional teams through cost-saving processes, and oversaw over $200 million of Department of Defense contracts. Af received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida and is completing a Masters of Business Administration from the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business.
