Arup Banerjee

Bio

Arup Banerjee joined Updata Partners in 2008. He supports the firm's business development, deal sourcing and due diligence efforts. Prior to joining Updata, Arup worked at Citigroup as a financial analyst in the Global Technology Investment Banking Group, where he focused on a variety of equity, debt and M&A transactions in the software, IT services and communications equipment sectors. Several companies Arup covered include: Nortel Networks, WNS, Hewitt, Nuance, Open Link Financial and Echo Global Logistics. Earlier, Arup worked at Citigroup as a financial analyst in the North American Power Investment Banking Group. Arup also has experience as a software entrepreneur, having founded several software and web startups. Arup earned a BS in economics, graduating with distinction, a BA in computer science and a certificate in markets and management from Duke University.
