As President and CEO of Consera Software (sold to HP), Mr Artale was active in all aspects of company operations. His responsibilities included management of business operations, customers, partners, and the investors. Before founding Consera, Mr Artale was an executive at VERITAS Software. As vice president of the Windows Solutions Group for VERITAS availability products at VERITAS Software, he oversaw overall product strategy of the Windows targeted availability solutions. Mr Artale was hired as vice president of the Windows business unit at VERITAS Software in July 2000 and subsequently named vice president of the Windows Solution Group at in October 2001. Prior to this position, he was the general manager in the Windows 2000 group at Microsoft Corporation. Mr Artale's nine-year career at Microsoft Corporation included responsibility in the areas of product development and sales - his accomplishments and experience while at Microsoft were extensive and varied. Mr Artale was a strategic member of the initial team of professional services architects deployed in New York City. He was involved in the initiation of the customer adoption drive for Windows NT in Microsoft's Northeast Region and also led a successful sales effort targeted at the standardization of Wall Street's desktops on the Windows NT Workstation. For his efforts on Windows NT adoption, Mr Artale received the Microsoft Chairman's Award for Top US Member of Technical Staff in 1993 and was also named the top Systems Engineer in the same year. Mr Artale attended the Polytechnic Institute of New York before joining Monchik-Weber Corporation in 1984.
