Geoffrey W Cutler

Bio

Mr. Cutler began his investment career as a specialist’s assistant on the Pacific Stock Exchange in 1961. He worked in operations in the Trust Department of Crocker Bank while attending the Graduate School of Business at the University of California. In 1968 he joined the research department of Dean Witter & Company where he worked on the national timesharing system and other projects. He later joined with his father, Kenneth Cutler to manage high net worth individual accounts. In 1973 he started the Corporate and Government Bond Department at Bateman Eichler-Hill Richards, Inc. a regional brokerage firm in California. After the passage of ERISA, he joined again with his father to form Cutler & Company, Inc., and began managing institutional assets. In March 1999 he started Cascade Investment Counsel, LLC in order to focus on foundations, eleemosynary trusts and not-for-profit corporations. In recent years he has served on the boards of the Rogue Valley Medical Foundation, Public Television KSYS, and the Peter Britt Festivals. Currently Mr. Cutler serves on the Investment Sub- Committee of the Asante Health System Foundation and is the treasurer of the Southern Oregon University Foundation. He is the current president of the Institute For Financial Stewardship. Graduate School of Business at the University of California.
