Bio

Mr. Grant has over 25 years of experience in private equity investing, investment banking and capital market transactions. Prior to forming Stone Arch Capital, Mr. Grant served as U.S. Chairman of Minneapolis-based RBC Capital Markets and as President and COO of Dain Rauscher Wessels. He served on the Executive and Operating Committees of both firms. Mr. Grant was responsible for the strategic direction and oversight of a global investment banking and equity capital markets institution, including primary P&L responsibility and management of over 1,100 people. In his position prior to Stone Arch Capital, Mr. Grant was a member of the New York Stock Exchange, served on the Management Committee of Royal Bank Capital Partners, and was the Managing Partner of DRW Venture Partners, LLC. In addition, he was on the Board of Directors of Tamir Fishman & Company (the largest investment bank in Israel) and the Advisory Board of Tamir Fishman Ventures. Prior to RBC Capital Markets/Dain Rauscher Wessels, Mr. Grant had a distinguished career as a Managing Director in the equity capital markets divisions of Credit Suisse First Boston and UBS, in New York. Mr. Grant serves as Chairman of the Board of Global Impact, a Washington, D.C. based non-profit, dedicated to international relief work. He is on the Board of Trustees of the Minnesota Medical Foundation, the Board of Managers of the University of Virginia Alumni Association, and the Board of Directors of the Jefferson Scholars Foundation at the University of Virginia. He is also active in the Leadership Giving Campaign of the Greater Twin Cities United Way. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia (B.A.) and the Darden School at the University of Virginia (M.B.A.).
