Bio

Mr Mojica joined KCEP in August, 1999. His focus is on the media and telecommunication services industries, including converged communication platforms and content providers. In addition to working with veteran management teams seeking to exploit regional growth opportunities, Mr Mojica is also searching for value opportunities in the distressed communications industry. Representative investments include ACT Teleconferencing and Grenax Broadcasting. Prior to KCEP, Mr Mojica worked in investment banking at First Chicago Capital Markets Inc. across a wide range of industries including telecommunications, cable, food, textiles and financial services. He was instrumental in raising over $2.5 billion via a combination of high yield securities, privately placed debt and bank / bridge loans. He also worked in commercial banking at Citicorp and in equity research at American National Investment and Trust Corporation. Currently, Mr Mojica teaches an MBA course at the UMKC's Bloch School of Business entitled Venture Capital Investments & Finance. Mr Mojica holds undergraduate degrees in Economics and Political Science from the University of Chicago and an MBA from the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at the University of North Carolina. He attended Kenan-Flagler under a full fellowship from the Consortium for Graduate Study in Management.
