Bio

Andrew joined SignalFire in 2018 and divides his time between the investment and engineering teams. Prior to SignalFire, Andrew was an engineer at AngelList where he worked on building products to connect startups and job-seekers. At AngelList, he developed an outbound search tool for recruiters and machine learning models to predict matches on the Talent platform. He also spent time at Two Sigma where he was an investor and a data scientist on the ventures team. While at Two Sigma, Andrew split his time between sourcing and evaluating companies and developing models to programmatically surface deals. During college, he was a partner at Dorm Room Fund, a student-run venture fund backed by First Round. Andrew started his journey in startups and technology by co-founding Chesscademy, an edtech company that went through YC/IK12 and the Stanford StartX accelerator. He scaled the platform to over a million users and led product management and business development. He graduated from Princeton University with an A.B. in Economics and minors in Computer Science and Statistics & Machine Learning. His thesis explored ways to apply data-driven techniques to various parts of the early-stage venture capital process.
