Bio
Antonio Llaya joined HarbourVest's London-based subsidiary in 2005 and transferred to the Boston office in 2007. He became a senior associate in 2008. Antonio focuses on direct buyout and growth equity investments. He has been involved with several of the Firm's direct investments, including Alexander Forbes, CDW, Consol, Pasternack, and Trainline. He has been responsible for the development of innovative tools for the analysis of buyouts and fund cash flow projections. Antonio also participated the structuring of HarbourVest Global Private Equity Ltd. ("HVPE"), a closed-end investment company listed on Euronext Amsterdam that invests in and alongside HarbourVest-managed funds. He joined the Firm from Deutsche Bank in London, where he was an analyst in the technology, media, and telecoms group. His previous experience also includes internships in Germany and France. Antonio completed his undergraduate studies at the universities of Córdoba (Argentina) and Tübingen (Germany), and graduated with Distinction from the London School of Economics with an MSc in Management in 2003. A native Spanish speaker, Antonio also speaks English, French, German, and Italian.
