As Senior Advisor to Veronis Suhler Stevenson, Bert Abrams is involved in many of the significant matters relating to the day-to-day activities of VSS and the Funds. In addition, Mr. Abrams works with the Funds’ professionals and outside counsel in structuring, negotiating and completing Fund transactions. Mr. Abrams was previously a senior partner in the law firm of Proskauer Rose LLP, where he was a member and former co-chair of the firm’s corporate department and concentrated on transactions involving the acquisition, disposition and financing of media and communications businesses. Prior to joining VSS in November 2005, Mr. Abrams served as counsel to VSS and represented VSS IV and its three predecessor funds in many of their major transactions, including transactions involving companies engaged in print and electronic publishing; business information services; trade shows and exhibitions; yellow page directories; cable television systems; radio and television stations; and movie theaters. At Proskauer, Mr. Abrams also represented a large number of other substantial entities engaged in various aspects of the media and communications industries. Mr. Abrams earned his LL.B degree from New York University School of Law, where he was an Associate Editor of the Law Review. He also holds an LL.M. degree from New York University School of Law. He received his undergraduate degree cum laude from the University of Connecticut.
