Investment manager with Amadeus, and specialises in the hardware, semiconductor and communications sectors. Since joining the firm as an associate in 2005, has worked on a number of investments. A company delivering high quality multi-service networks to network operators; Intune Networks, a Dublin-based company developing next-generation equipment for telecommunications networks; Plastic Logic, a company that has developed a process for producing flexible plastic transistors for use in computer displays; and XMOS, a company that is revolutionising re-configurable silicon chips. An engineer by training, held product management and engineering positions for LightPointe, a venture-backed optical wireless networking equipment manufacturer, and Tiernan Communications, a digital video equipment manufacturer, both US-based. This operational experience provides excellent tools to assess investment opportunities for Amadeus. An American citizen. Non-executive director on the Board of Nomad, which supplies and operates networks providing true broadband connectivity to trains, and a board observer for: Cambridge Broadband Netw MBA from the London Business School and a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, California.
