Bio

Bruce has more than 29 years of industry experience, with a focus in operations management, land and legal management, including contract compliance and environmental work. Bruce also has extensive asset turn-around and work-out experience, with a focus on organizing and developing startups and underperforming assets. Prior to co-founding Blue Tip Energy, Bruce was the General Manager and Vice President of Broughton Operating Corp., reporting to Rich DiClaudio. Based in Houston, Broughton was the operating company for several energy investments owned and operated by Hillman throughout the United States. While at Broughton, Bruce was responsible for directing a staff of 70 energy professionals in the management and operations of multiple energy companies in Texas, the Gulf Coast and the Rocky Mountain regions. Broughton drilled and managed numerous oil and gas wells and fields throughout the United States, managing the production of more than 75 mmcf per day before its assets were sold by Hillman. Prior to joining Broughton, Bruce was the Vice President of Land for Nornew, a very active New England drilling and operating company, helping it grow into the most active drilling company in the state of New York. Before working at Nornew, Bruce was a key member of Chevron’s Acquisition and Divesture Group in Houston, Texas. At Chevron, Bruce was responsible for the entire sales process, including negations and closings of over $200 million of non-core properties. Bruce holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from New Haven University and an MBA from Houston Baptist University. Bruce resides in Houston, Texas, is married and has three children and four grandchildren.
