Has spent the last decade investing in UK businesses both as a private investor and entrepreneur and, in 2000, as a founding Director of Inflexion plc – a UK mid-market private equity company. Prior to that, spent over 15 years in the publishing industry and was Managing Director of international businesses as part of International Thomson Organisation, Wolters Kluwer, and Reed Elsevier. Non-executive Chairman of Babyworld.com Ltd, the internet community business he helped to establish in 1998, sold to Freeserve and then re-acquired in 2003. Also an investor, advisor and non-executive Director of a number of early stage companies in the publishing and internet sectors.
