Christian Reitberger

Bio

Christian joins the global Venture Partner program in 2008. The outstanding clean technology expert is an active business angel investor and is invested in two high profile clean technology companies himself. At Wellington, he supports the team in evaluating clean technology and other growth investment opportunities and in providing strategic and operational support to existing portfolio companies. Christian is joining after a nine year career at Apax Partners, where he was a Partner in the Tech & Telecom group, leading venture, growth and buyout transactions. He focussed on semiconductor, mechatronics, photonics and internet infrastructure investments and more recently spent most of his time on clean technology opportunities such as Q-Cells, now a listed company with revenues of more than € 1 billion per year. Christian studied physics and mathematics in Innsbruck and Vienna and obtained a PhD of physics with distinction. After 2 ½ years as a research associate (and stints in industrial research and at CERN), he started his carrier at McKinsey.
