Bio

Mr. Bernstein is an Associate at New Horizons Venture Capital. He has served as a Presidential Administrative Fellow at The George Washington University (GWU) working in the Office of the President. In this capacity, Mr. Bernstein has worked with the Innovation Task Force, focusing on financial analysis and project management to help the University reduce $60 million dollars in costs. His professional background includes working at Deloitte Consulting LLP in their Strategy & Operations Division and also at The United States Securities & Exchange Commission in their Human Resources Division. At Deloitte, Mr. Bernstein created a comprehensive spreadsheet that monitored the weekly cash burn rate for $22 million in capital expenditures which facilitated client status updates. Additionally, he has experience in legal research as a GWU Shapiro Fellow for Public Service in 2006 and 2007, working at HALT- a legal nonprofit and also at the DC Public Defenders Office in their Special Litigations Division. Mr. Benstein also worked at the GWU Office of the General Counsel, focusing on compliance research and presented his analysis and recommendations to GWU’s Senior Officers. He has completed the University of Chile short-term study abroad program, focusing on international business in Latin America. He holds a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology, and he is currently completing his MBA in Finance and International Business from The George Washington University School of Business. Mr. Bernstein has been an active member of the GWU Academic Integrity Council and has also served as a mentor with the DC College Success Foundation.
