Bio

35 years with Standard Chartered Bank until retirement as General Manager Middle East & South Asia with responsibility for all Standard Chartered's operations from the Lebanon to Bangladesh, and 5 years in Arabia as CEO of United Saudi Commercial Bank then as CEO of the now merged Dubai based regional international Middle East Bank. A total of 20 years in the Middle East, 10 years in India & 10 years in South East Asia. Awarded his OBE for services to British commercial interests in Malaysia and was granted a Dato’ship (a knighthood) by the then King of Malaysia for services to Malaysian/British bilateral relations. Chairs The British Malaysian Society and is Honorary Treasurer of The Royal Society for Asian Affairs. Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers. Fellow of the Malaysian Institute of Bankers. Fellow of the Indian Institute of Bankers.
