Bio
Eric Arnold, a vice president in Bessemer's New York office, joined the firm in 2008. He focuses on investments in the financial-services, consumer-Internet and media sectors. Eric is closely involved with BVP investments in online wealth-management service Betterment; credit-ratings agency Kroll Bond Ratings; risk-advisory company K2 Global Consulting; market-data provider ACTIV Financial; independent-research company Soleil Securities; consumer Web-application company Hunch; messaging-and-security company Perimeter E-Security; and United Capital Financial Advisors, a private wealth-advisory firm. Eric serves on the boards of United Capital, Betterment and K2. Previously, Eric was a senior associate with Battery Ventures, where he worked with several of Battery's investments. They included online-payment and promotions platform TrialPay; digital-music company Ruckus Networks; global-trading intelligence platform Panjiva; and Fintura, an account-origination and portfolio-management company. Eric was also a personal investor in Stereogum, an independent music site that was acquired by Buzznet Media. Earlier, he was part of the venture-capital group at the World Bank's International Finance Corporation, identifying early-stage technology and telecom investments in India and Latin America. Eric has also worked in the internal-incubator group of InterActiveCorp. He began his career in Morgan Stanley's merger and acquisitions group.
