Bio

Prior to Butterfly.net, Eric was Chief Financial Officer at Ultraprise Corporation, where in addition to growing the company from 10 to well over 100 employees and directing all aspects of finance, accounting and purchasing, he managed equity fundraising efforts responsible for bringing in over $30 million from investors such as Walker Investment Fund I & II, FBR Technology Venture Partners, FBR Financial Fund, GE Equity, First Union Capital Partners and Citigroup's eCiti division. Before entering the world of hi-tech finance, Eric worked in auditing, tax and business consulting with regional CPA firms Arnett & Foster and Yount, Hyde & Barbour. Eric also serves as Chairman of a committee created by Sen. John D. Rockefeller IV (D-WV) tasked with researching the future of venture capital in West Virginia. This committee recently announced plans to launch the West Virginia Venture Connection, a venture capital source and advocacy group focused on increasing access to venture capital in West Virginia. Eric graduated cum laude from Shepherd College with a BS in accounting and is a certified public accountant.
