Frank K. Bynum, Jr. joined Kelso in 1987. He spent the preceding two years as an Investment Analyst with New York Life Insurance Company. Mr. Bynum is currently a director of Audio Visual Services Corporation, Custom Building Products, Inc., Ellis Communications Group, LLC, Sentinel Data Centers and Truck-Lite Co., LLC. Other past directorships include 21st Century Newspapers, Inc., Cambridge Display Technology, Inc., Citation Corporation, Cygnus Publishing, Inc., Douglas Broadcasting, Inc., Endurance Business Media, Inc., FairPoint Communications, Inc., HCI Direct, Inc., Masland Industries, Inc., Scient, Inc. (iXL, along with related technology companies), Universal Outdoor, Inc. and URS Logistics, Inc. He is currently a Trustee of Prep for Prep, a New York-based non-profit organization, and is a past Trustee of The College Foundation of the University of Virginia. He received a B.A. in History from the University of Virginia in 1985.
