Bio

Co-founded Platform and serves as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Fred is responsible for managing all aspects of the investment activities of Platform including capital raising, investment sourcing, due diligence and management of portfolio companies. Prior to founding Platform, Fred co-founded The CapStreet Group (and its predecessor company, Summit Capital) where he managed its private equity investments. Fred has significant operational experience, having served as Chief Executive Officer of American Tower Corporation (NYSE: AMT), Cardtronics (NASDAQ: CATM), and Advantage Outdoor. Prior to founding CapStreet, Fred was a Senior Vice President of Duncan, Cook & Co. and a Vice President of Texas Commerce Bank, where he managed the bank’s venture capital portfolio. Fred serves on the Board of Directors of Landmark Aviation, TRE Financial Services, Avalon Advisors, Evergreen Industrial Services and Amegy Bancshares. Fred also serves as Trustee of Baylor College of Medicine and Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Fred received his BA from Vanderbilt University and his MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
