Frédéric Chauffier

Bio

Frédéric joined Duke Street in 1998 from SPEF, the private equity arm of Banques Populaires in France, where he worked on medium sized transactions, three of which were with Duke Street. Having started in corporate finance at Smith Barney in New York, he has been involved in more than 25 continental buyouts since 1991, first based in Switzerland, where he also served as finance director of a portfolio company until it was turned around. With a strong track record in origination, Frédéric has worked on a wide range of deals including Groupe Proclif, B+B Hotels and Marie Brizard. As a former Managing Partner of the firm, Frédéric played a vital role in creating Duke Street’s dynamic and highly participative culture, building an impressive and successful investment team. Frédéric speaks both French and English. Frédéric is a graduate of Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Commerciales and also Cornell University.
