Bio

Geoff is a non-executive director of Capricorn Ventures International (CVI), which he founded together with the Enthoven family in 1994. He has also been non-executive Deputy Chairman of the Hollard Group and chaired the Investment and Treasury Committee of the Hollard Group from 1993 to 2007. As a result of this executive leadership, the group's investments grew significantly, inter alia with the formation of Baobab (now African Bank Investments Ltd) and Clientele. Geoff became a partner in Deloitte in 1980. When he left Deloitte in 1993 Geoff was the Executive Chairman of Deloitte & Touché Management Consulting and a senior member of both the Board and Executive Committee of Deloitte & Touché South Africa, as well as the South African representative of the Global Merger Integration task force for D&T International. On leaving Deloitte & Touché in 1993, Geoff joined the Hollard Group and led the strategic repositioning of the Group and its ultimate shareholders - leading to the formation of CVI as the holding company of the wider Group's globally coordinated operations. Geoff qualified as a CA(SA) and obtaining a Higher Diploma in Tax Law.
