Bio
Mr. Seif is an experienced trader and investor. He began his career at O’Connor & Associates in 1980 as a General Partner. During his tenure at O’Connor, he established and led the development of the firm’s risk arbitrage and special situations business. In 1987, Mr. Seif was named Co-Managing Partner of O’Connor. In 1994, Mr. Seif became a Managing Director of Swiss Bank Corporation (“SBC”) when SBC consummated its acquisition of O’Connor. In 1998, Mr. Seif became Managing Director of UBS AG, when it merged with SBC. Between 2001 and 2008, Mr. Seif was Chairman of the Epic Distressed Debt Opportunity Fund, Ltd (“Epic”). In 2008, Mr. Seif negotiated the sale of the GP interests in Epic to Citigroup’s alternative asset arm, Citi Capital Advisors, and he became a Managing Director at Citigroup. In 2013, Citigroup spun off its hedge funds to a new entity, Napier Park Global Capital (“Napier”). Between 2013 and 2016, Mr. Seif was a Member of the Management Committee of Napier, and Co-Head of the Napier Distressed Debt Opportunity Fund.
