Mr. Evans is an Operating Partner at HCI Equity Partners, a position created to add experienced operational input to the Firm and its portfolio companies. Currently, Mr. Evans serves on the Board of Directors of Power & Composite Technologies, Inc., Roadrunner Transportation Systems, Inc., Group Transportation Services, Inc. and Suntron Corporation and as Chairman of Total Quality, Inc. and Dynamic Systems, Inc Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Evans served as Vice Chairman and Director of Union Pacific Corporation. He joined Union Pacific Railroad in 1998 as President and Chief Operating Officer, responsible for the day-to-day operations, marketing and sales functions of the company. During Mr. Evan’s tenure at Union Pacific, the company grew from $9 billion to over $12 billion, with the development of new, successful products as well as driving productivity improvements and increased throughput of the company’s rail network. Before joining Union Pacific, Mr. Evans spent 10 years at Emerson Electric Company, one of the world’s largest industrial corporations, where he held a number of positions including Senior Vice President, Industrial Components and Equipment. Mr. Evans also served as President of the Blackstone Corporation, a manufacturer of original equipment and aftermarket automotive components, which was a subsidiary of Mark IV Industries. Ike began his career at General Motors Corporation, where he spent 21 years holding a number of key operating positions in the Chevrolet, Buick, Delco Products and Harrison Radiator divisions. Mr. Evans serves on the Board of Directors of Arvin Meritor Inc., Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., Cooper Industries Inc. and Textron, Inc. He is a past director of Union Pacific, Grupo Ferroviario Mexicano, Creighton University of Omaha, and was Chairman of the Association of American Railroads and the National Association of Manufacturers. Mr. Evans earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering at Kansas State University and completed the Management Development program at Harvard University.
