Trained and qualified with KPMG and stayed with them from 1983-1993. From 1994-1996 worked as a consultant for the Medical Research Council advising the founders of startup biotechnology companies. Was a Director of Cambridge Genetics and from 1995 to 1998 was CFO of Prolifix. In 1998, joined Abingworth as CFO and handles finance and administration as well as investment matters, focusing on startup companies being able to offer substantial operational support. Degree in Biology with Chemistry from the University of Southampton and is a Chartered Accountant.
