James Johnston

Bio

Jim Johnston is a Principal of Moelis Capital Partners and focuses on the industrial, financial services and telecom sectors. Prior to joining Moelis Capital Partners, Mr. Johnston was at Goldman Sachs, most recently as a Vice President in the Financial Sponsors Group. Mr. Johnston has extensive experience in mergers and financing across a broad spectrum of industries, including industrial, consumer and technology. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Mr. Johnston was a submarine officer in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Johnston received a B.S. in Commerce with Distinction from the University of Virginia and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.
