John Bagalay

Bio

John has forty years of experience in the organization, financing and development of public and privately held companies. For the past seventeen years at Boston University he financed and developed technology-based companies in the life science and information technology industries. As Managing Director of the University’s venture capital fund and head of the University’s technology transfer group focused on the life sciences and information technology investments, he realized a 40% return on investments made in the life sciences under his management. As Senior Advisor to the Chancellor he was responsible for the management of special investments not financed by the venture fund. He served as officer and director of more than thirty portfolio companies including serving as CEO of a Swiss-based company and Finance Director of a UK- based company both engaged in the manufacture and sale of superconducting materials and devices. Currently, John is on the board of two NASDAQ listed companies. At Wave Systems Corp. he is Chairman and a member of Wave’s Audit, Compensation and Executive Committees. At Cytogen Corporation he is Chairman of the Audit and Finance Committee and a member of its Nominating and Governance Committee. At the request of Cytogen’s Board, John served as interim CEO and CFO of the Company during a period of its extensive management restructuring.
