Jon E M Jacoby

Bio

Jon Jacoby is a vice chairman and senior managing director of The Stephens Group, LLC. He specializes in the creation of imaginative financial structures that accommodate the needs of all parties to a transaction as the basis of an ongoing partnership dedicated to value creation. Previously, as part of the combined Stephens family organization for 43 years, he served as assistant to the president, vice president and head of Corporate Finance; executive vice president; head of Special Investments; chief financial officer; a member of the Executive Committee; and vice chairman of the board. Mr. Jacoby has acted as the primary representative of the Stephens family in numerous transactions, including the formation of Systematics in 1968 and its merger into Alltel in 1991; the sale of Union Life Insurance Company to the Ray Hunt interests in 1981; the acquisition of Atlantic Oil in 1983; the acquisition of Leisure Lodges and subsequent combination with Beverly Enterprises; the sale of Leisure Arts to Time Warner in 1992; and the acquisition of controlling interest in Micro-Flo and its sale to BASF Corp in 2000. Mr. Jacoby currently serves on the board of several privately-held companies and one publicly-held corporation: Conn’s Inc. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a B.A. in Geology, and holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
