Bio

Managing Director and co-founder of KB Partners, and has a diverse background in startup companies, real estate, and other entrepreneurial ventures. Has been an active investor in various early stage and startup technology companies in a wide variety of industries including the semiconductor, cable TV, Internet, medical and information technology arenas. Prior to forming KB Partners in 1996, served for seven years as a Principal at Hiffman Shaffer Associates Inc, a Chicago-based national real estate development, investment, management and brokerage firm. There he participated in the development and acquisition of more than USD 250 million worth of retail, industrial and office properties. He also leased and/or sold properties totaling over three million square feet with a value in excess of USD 400 million. Other career highlights include co-founding a chain of deep discount drugstores, acquiring and completing a successful turnaround of a woman's apparel manufacturing and sales company, and procuring the equity and debt financing for, and producing, a feature film entitled Heaven Is A Playground. Keith serves as a board member for NetRegulus and Data TV Networks, and overseas the firm's investments in The Active Network and Cadant. Keith is a founding board member of the Illinois Venture Capital Association, and serves as its Secretary. He is also the Chairman and Founder of the Chicago Select Golf Invitational, which has raised in excess of $1,700,000 for the American Cancer Society. He has been honored by Crain's Chicago Business as a "40 under 40", a Who's Who of Chicago Executives and as one of the 100 most prominent members of Chicago's technology economy. Graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS degree in Economics from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and received his MBA with honors from the JL Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
