Kim Moffat

Bio

Kim Vender Moffat is a Principal at Sterling Partners with experience in finance, operations and strategy consulting. Kim initially worked with Sterling as an Analyst with Sterling Capital and Associate with Sterling Venture Partners before returning to graduate school. Kim rejoined Sterling in 2008 to focus on internal firm strategy and transformation. She transitioned to the role of Principal of Investor Relations, a role in which she manages existing limited partner relationships and the fundraising process. She leverages the firm’s history, track record and best practices to help drive Sterling’s expansion both domestically and globally. Kim also oversees the firm’s marketing and communications to internal and external audiences. Kim worked at McKinsey & Co. after receiving her MBA where she worked on operational and strategic initiatives for global clients in health care, insurance and retail sectors. She also served as a Summer Associate at Kirkland & Ellis in the corporate and private equity practice in both San Francisco and Chicago, where her responsibilities included due diligence, fund formation and M&A transactions. Kim graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University and received her JD MBA cum laude from Northwestern University Law School and Kellogg School of Management.
