Bio

Marc brings over twenty years of venture capital, project financing, and investment advisory experience to Turnstone Capital Management. Marc focuses on the firm's investments in IT, media, and clean technology. Marc represents Turnstone as a board member of clean tech solar start-up Morgan Solar. Marc is also a co-founder and Chairman of the firm's US-India platform operating company Turnstone Environmental Technologies LLC. Formerly, Marc was a founder and member of the Investment Committee for Cedar Lane Asset Management LLC, an investment manager advising investment funds targeting the entertainment sector. Marc represented Turnstone's interests in TitanTV Media as a Board Member prior to its sale to Broadcast Interactive, and acted as the lead transaction sponsor in the formation and initial funding of dMarc Broadcasting prior to its eventual sale to Google. Prior to forming Turnstone Capital, Marc served as Managing Director of Acquisitions at eColony – a $100 million early stage venture capital group formed by Internet Capital Group (Nasdaq – ICGE), where he helped architect the firm’s investment strategy, source and execute investments in technology companies, and served on its Investment Committee. Prior to eColony, Marc held asset management roles at such leading investment firms as J.P. Morgan, NationsBanc Montgomery and The Prudential Investment Corporation, where he focused on LBOs, private placements, and power project finance. Marc has co-founded two companies, T.K. Purdy & Co. and Tsunami Technology Holdings, which merged into eColony. His international experience includes management study at IESE in Barcelona, Spain and investment advisory work for The Prudential in London, England. Marc received his BA in Economics from Yale University and earned his MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth, earning the Tuck Scholar distinction.
