Michael S. Clifton is a Senior Associate focused on U.S. buyout opportunities in the technology and business services sectors. He is based in Charlotte. Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Clifton was a Senior Associate at Brazos Private Equity Partners. Mr. Clifton's prior work experience also includes serving as an Associate at Arcapita and an Analyst in Banc of America Securities' Mergers & Acquisitions Group. Mr. Clifton received his M.B.A. with high distinction from the Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar. He received an A.B., cum laude, in classics from Davidson College.
