Since joining the firm in 1991, Mr. Segrest has actively worked with over twenty-five portfolio companies at Silver Creek Ventures, helping them realize their goals of becoming successful startup companies.As a general partner for the Firm, Mr. Segrest has focused his investment activities on information technologies, particularly in the areas of security, networking, and services. Current board seats for Mr. Segrest include Aktino, Inc. and NetSocket, Inc.Prior to Silver Creek, Mr. Segrest served as a Principal for a merchant banking firm specializing in the communications industries. Mr. Segrest received his undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin in the ERB program (Electrical Engineering option) and his MBA in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin.
