Nicholas B Drake

Bio

He commenced working as a Field Engineer with Schlumberger, and spent much of this time performing reservoir evaluation contracts on land, inland water, and offshore drilling rigs. In doing so, Nick worked closely with producers and many service companies in the Gulf of Mexico, Columbia, Egypt, and in nearly all of the major fields in the United States. In addition, Nick worked with Schlumberger's product development team in Japan designing a multi-business unit service offering and coordinating its execution in the field. As Nick continually became exposed to an increasing cross section of the oilfield services industry, his interest shifted from field execution to the industry's strategic and financial challenges. As a result, Nick returned to his Alma Mater to earn his MBA where he was Vice President of his graduating class. Nick is part of SCF's Canadian team and is responsible for the identification and sourcing of new investment opportunities, as well as the development and growth of our portfolio companies. Nick enjoys physical fitness and all sports. Nick completed his undergraduate degree in Geological Engineering from the University of British Columbia and was honored by the Provincial Engineering Association with its Achievement Award.
