Worked in M&A at Kleinwort Benson & PaineWebber before joining Enron as Director, Corporate Development. Moved to BG, and its successor companies Lattice and National Grid, where his roles included Head of Corporate Finance at Lattice Plc and Project Director responsible for the development of the Isle of Grain LNG importation project. Latterly was Head of European Risk at GE Energy Financial Services, investing money on behalf of GE in the renewable energy market in Europe with transactions that included Fotowatio, the Spanish solar developer and owner, Gama Enerji, a Turkish energy joint venture and Theolia, the French wind developer. Graduating from Bristol University with a degree in Geography. Qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Price Waterhouse in 1987.
