Pat Ryan joined SVLS as a Venture Partner in 2009. Patrick Ryan is currently president of MedAssets' Spend & Clinical Resource Management Segment. Mr. Ryan has been in the healthcare field since 1980, with specific experience in finance, operations, direct-to-consumer marketing, strategic development, service and sales. Mr. Ryan joined MedAssets in November 2010 following the Company’s acquisition of The Broadlane Group, where he served as chairman and chief executive officer since 2008. Prior to joining Broadlane, Mr. Ryan served as chief executive officer and a director of PolyMedica Corporation, the nation’s largest direct-to-consumer provider of blood glucose testing supplies and related services to people with diabetes. He also served as the chairman and chief executive officer of Physicians Dialysis, Inc. from the company’s inception in 2000 until it was acquired in 2004 by DaVita Inc. Mr. Ryan began his career working for American Hospital Supply Corporation, and has served as a director for numerous private and public companies. Pat holds a B.A. in political science and sociology from the University of Rochester.
