Has more than twenty years of experience as a senior corporate executive, principal investor, and corporate director. Was president of Advance Ross Corporation, the world's leading international value-added tax refund service, from 1993 through the company's 1996 merger. Advance Ross was twice named to Fortune Magazine's list of 100 fastest growing companies and Forbes Magazine's list of best small companies in America. From 1982 to 1992, served in a variety of executive positions with Centel Corporation, a national telecommunications services company, including as president of Centel's largest operating unit, Central Telephone Company, a business with more than $900 million in annual revenue and $200 million in operating income. His Centel experience also encompassed oversight of all of the company's mergers and acquisitions activities, including Centel's cable television and wireless communications businesses, among others. Prior to joining Centel, was a VP in the investment banking unit of Dean Witter. As a director of various public and private companies, has extensive experience in working closely with founders and executive management teams to develop business plans focused on growth, as well as with acquisitions and divestitures and in recruiting key senior managers. Current board seats are: 3Com Corp, APAC Customer Services, DVC Worldwide, HCG Holdings, and Nth Degree Global. Was also a founder and director of Lighthouse Global Network until its September 2000 acquisition by Cordiant Communications Group in a transaction with an enterprise value of USD 592 million.
