Joined Apax Partners in 1981 from the Boston Consulting Group. Member of the Approval, Investment, Portfolio Review and Exit Committees. Chief Executive of the Apax Foundation. Apax deals include Demon Internet, Dr Solomon’s, Eyretel, QXL, and Waterstone. BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester Institute of Technology; MSc (Management) from the Sloan School of Management, MIT (Kennedy Scholar); and PhD on the Economics of Innovation from London University.
