Ric Denton

Bio

Ric Denton has worked with numerous business and non-profit organizations, providing advice, assistance and valuations to emerging entrepreneurial start-ups while at SCORE in Colorado Springs, where he served as Chair for three years, and while also consulting with Bridgehead partners. Prior to moving to Colorado Springs, Ric was in Silicon Valley, where he established businesses in the defense, medical and biotechnology areas. He founded and launched TAU Corporation, in 1981, which grew from R&D in avionics and flight control to a successful line of digital imaging products for test range analyses and aircraft surveillance payloads. After TAU, Ric was CEO of Televere Systems, a commercial spin-off venture from TAU. During his tenure at Televere, he identified a $30 million market opportunity in teledentistry and electronic commerce, secured $4.0 million in funding, and successfully launched products for both dentists and dental insurance companies. Televere continues to be a successful company today. Ric then joined Woodside Technology Group as the company's CEO, where he provided consulting and Advisory Board guidance to RVision, which recently sold for $28 million. He holds PhD and master's degrees in physics from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
