Bio
Prior to joining Permira, Richard established his own company in 1997 advising on venture capital and LBO transactions and corporate restructuring across a variety of industries. During this time he worked with AU System, a company backed by the Permira funds. Previously, he spent 10 years with Arthur Andersen. Richard became a Partner in 2010. He is Co-Head of the Industrials Sector Team. Richard joined Permira’s London office in 2000 and moved to New York in 2002 to establish Permira’s presence in North America. He has worked on a number of transactions including Aearo Technologies, BakerCorp and Cognis. Richard has a Commerce degree from the University of Melbourne, Australia, and an MBA from IMD, Switzerland. He is also a Chartered Accountant.
