Considered to be one of the UK's leading ICT analysts. Started in computing in 1966 as a programmer and progressed to become Group Marketing Director of Hoskyns (now Capgemini) in 1979 before forming Mr Holway Ltd in 1986. Mr Holway Ltd became the leading authority on the financial performance of the UK software and IT services market. Best known the annual Holway Report, the monthly newsletter SYSTEMHOUSE and, in 1996, the Hotnews internet news service - one of the very first technology "blogs". In November 2000 Mr Holway Ltd was acquired by Ovum continuing to serve as a director and analyst. In 2002, was one of the founding members of the Prince's Trust Technology Leadership Group and became the Chairman in April 2007. Currently, sits on BT Global Services' Advisory Board and on the advisory board at Elderstreet Capital Partners. In January 2007, was appointed a non executive director at the publicly quoted Finsbury Technology Trust (FTT).
