Joined Compass Partners in 2006, as a Non-Executive Director and is also Chairman and CEO of DBM. Founder of the New York-based operations turnover firm, Monticello Partners. Prior to establishing Monticello Partners, was Chief Executive Officer of Chubb plc between 2000 and 2003. Chubb plc was the third largest Security Services Company in the world, with operations in five continents, sales of $2.5 billion and profit margins of 10%. Chubb plc was ranked 140th on the London FTSE listing, prior to being acquired by United Technologies in 2003. Between 1988 and 2000, worked with Williams Holdings plc, a FTSE 100 worldwide conglomerate with interests in consumer, building, and security products. Progressed rapidly through the ranks from Managing Director of the European Consumer and Building products’ Division, to Managing Director of the North American Consumer and Building products’ Division, to Managing Director of the Global Systems and Services’ Division, and became a Main Board Director of Williams plc in 1999. Between 1977 and 1988, worked with Fort Howard Paper Company, a US paper and packaging multi-national company (`85 to `88), with the Addison Group, a UK strategic consulting firm (`83 to `85), with Booz Allen & Hamilton, a US multi-functional management consultancy firm (`79 to `83), and with Colgate Palmolive, a US fast moving consumer goods’ company (`77 to `79). Has successfully driven a large number of turnarounds, and has led over 100 acquisitions and divestitures. Chairman of the Compass portfolio company, DBM. Fluent in English, French, Italian and Spanish. MBA from Columbia University in New York.
