Robert Hansen

Bio

Rob Hansen joined Vector Capital as a Vice President in 2008. Rob comes to Vector from The Carlyle Group, where he focused on middle market buyout investments and growth equity opportunities in the software, systems and business services sectors. While at Carlyle, Rob served as a board observer to several companies including Rhythm NewMedia, DHS Systems, Viator and TradeBeam. Prior to Carlyle, Rob worked at MSD Capital, a private investment firm which exclusively manages the capital of Michael Dell. There he focused on investments in technology companies across stages and the capital structure. Prior to MSD Capital, he worked in investment banking at Goldman, Sachs & Co. Rob also worked in marketing at Azul Systems, a privately-held technology company specializing in datacenter infrastructure for J2EE applications. Rob received his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar. He holds a B.S. in electrical engineering, magna cum laude, from Brigham Young University.
