Bio

Samuel H. Kwon is a Vice President with Global Market Strategies, focusing on corporate mezzanine investments. Mr. Kwon is based in Los Angeles. Since joining Carlyle in 2007, Mr. Kwon has been actively involved with Carlyle’s investment in current portfolio companies C.H.I. Overhead Doors, Inc., ConvaTec Inc., PQ Corporation, United Road Towing, Inc., Voice Construction Ltd., and Wesco Holding, Inc. He was also a member of the transaction team that executed Carlyle’s investment in CompuDyne Corporation; the investment in CompuDyne was exited in October 2010. Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Kwon was with Lightyear Capital in New York and UBS Investment Bank’s Mergers & Acquisitions Group in New York. Mr. Kwon is on the Board of Directors of United Road Towing, Inc. and is an observer on the Board of Directors of Voice Construction Ltd. Mr. Kwon received a B.B.A. in finance and accounting from Emory University.
