Scott MacLeod

Bio

Mr Scott MacLeod has thirty-five years of experience in international finance and investment focused on establishing, acquiring, restructuring, privatizing and expanding private-sector companies and projects in emerging markets. In addition to his role as head of the Emerging Markets team, he serves on the Investment Committee of each of the investment funds that GEF currently manages in emerging markets. Prior to joining GEF in 1998, Mr. MacLeod served for 20 years in various capacities at the International Finance Corporation (IFC). He has worked in more than thirty countries in Eastern Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America with corporate executives and senior-level government officials on the execution of private-sector transactions. Mr MacLeod is a frequent speaker and chairman at conferences on private-sector investment in emerging markets. Mr MacLeod holds a BA from Yale University and an MBA from Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
