Scott Newquist

Bio

Mr. Newquist is Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer of Cambridge Capital. He has over 40 years experience in general management, private equity, venture capital, M&A and investment management. At Morgan Stanley & Co, he was a Managing Director, an M&A execution specialist completing approximately 100 transactions, built and managed the M&A business development department, founded and was head of Private Equity and was one of five Managing Directors overseeing venture capital investments. At Kidder Peabody & Co, when it was owned by General Electric, he was one of five members of the Executive Management Committee, and Executive Managing Director, Head of Investment and Merchant Banking, having responsibility for approximately 4000 employees world-wide. Mr. Newquist was founder and is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Veloxco, LLC which developed and implemented a quantitative trading model combining the underlying principles of fluid dynamics and modified stochastic processes to analyze and project price trends with respect to marketable securities and futures. He is currently also Co-Chief Executive Officer of Aquaback Technologies Inc, having a patent protected breakthrough water distillation technology offering extremely energy-efficient, self-cleaning, compact and light-weight water purification devices and systems. Mr. Newquist has a MBA from Harvard Business School where he was a Baker Scholar, and a BA in Economics from Williams College where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
