Steve Martinez

Bio

Steve Martinez is a senior partner of Apollo Management, L.P., a private investment partnership that manages a series of institutional funds focused on complex equity investments, leveraged buyouts and corporate reorganizations. Mr. Martinez currently serves on the board of directors of Prestige Cruises, an upscale cruise line operating the Oceania and Regent Seven Seas brands; Rexnord Industries, a diversified manufacturer of engineered products; Norwegian Cruise Line, a premium cruise line with itineraries worldwide; Hughes Telematics, Principal Maritime and Veritable Maritime. He has previously served on the boards of directors of Allied Waste Industries, Goodman Global, Hayes-Lemmerz International and Jacuzzi Brands. Prior to joining Apollo, Mr. Martinez was a member of the mergers and acquisitions department of Goldman Sachs & Co with responsibilities in merger structure negotiation and financing. Before that he worked at Bain & Company Tokyo advising US corporations on corporate strategies in Japan. Mr. Martinez received an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a BA and BS from the University of Pennsylvania and the Wharton School of Business, respectively.
