Steven Lux

Bio

Mr. Lux manages the Florida operations of Stonehenge Growth Capital. His current responsibilities include the origination and management of all existing Florida investments and he currently manages nine portfolio companies. Mr. Lux spent 17 years with Bank One, and its predecessor in Dallas before opening Stonehenge Capital’s Tampa office in 1998. He began his career as a commercial lender focusing on leveraged buyouts of middle market companies and later joined the Capital Markets Group where he originated venture capital, private equity and corporate finance transactions. Mr. Lux manages and has responsibility for Stonehenge Growth Capital's Florida Fund. He has made growth equity investments in Florida since 1999. Mr. Lux is active in the regional venture investing community. He currently is active in Florida Venture Forum, serving on the executive committee and chairs the Selection Committee for Florida Venture Forum’s annual conference. He was also past chairman. During Mr. Lux’s tenure as Chairman of the Selection Committee 134 companies have presented and raised in excess of $450 million. Mr. Lux also serves on the Board of Fellows and College of Business’s Entrepreneurship Program committee at University of Tampa. He has guest lectured at University of Tampa and University of South Florida and served on various panels discussing venture capital related topics across the state. Past board memberships include Tampa Bay Technology Forum and the local chapter of Association of Corporate Growth. Mr. Lux currently serves on the Board, or as an observer of, TwinVee Marine Group, Proficient Auto Transport, Health Integrated, Environmental Lighting Concepts, and Payformance. He formerly was a director of EDR, and board observer for AuthenTec and Image Guided Neurologics, and resigned in conjunction with AuthenTec’s successful IPO and the sale of Image Guided Neurologics to Medtronics. He earned a B.A. in Economics and an MBA from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University.
