Bio

Subramanya (Subu) S.V., a director with BVP India in Mumbai, joined the firm in 2007. He focuses on investments in infrastructure and consumer businesses. Subu was closely involved with the firm’s investments in IL&FS Transportation Networks and Palogix Infrastructure, among others. Along with his technology background, Subu brings investment-banking and consulting experience to Bessemer. Most recently, he worked for Avendus Advisors, an Indian investment bank, where he advised companies on private-equity and M&A buy-side projects. Previously, he was a consultant with KPMG and started his career as a programmer with Wipro Technologies. Subu holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering from Mysore University and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad.
