Mr Aggarwal joined Sage as a Director in 2008. With 37 years of corporate and commercial banking experience, Mr Aggarwal provides overall investment and operational leadership to the firm. He has a closely knit investment team to shape investment strategies and evaluation of investment opportunities. Mr Aggarwal also focuses on and leads operations process, risk management & control and also provides leadership in strengthening Sage's presence and capability in successfully winning and managing deals. Just prior to joining Sage, Mr Aggarwal did 2 months' consulting assignment in Dubai for Noor Islamic Bank covering Entity Risk Assessment in the areas of Corporate Lending, Corporate Credit, Treasury and Global Transaction Services besides designing framework for Anti Money Laundering. Before that, Mr Aggarwal was a Vice President at IDBI Bank for 10 years. He opened first branch of IDBI Bank at New Delhi in 1997. Before that, he was a VP at ICICI Bank and here he opened first branch of ICICI Bank at New Delhi in 1995. Prior to joining ICICI, Mr Aggarwal was with Bank of India as Chief Manager where he worked for 23 years. Mr Aggarwal has a 1st Class Bachelor of Commerce from University of Delhi; second position in the University. And is a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers 25th in Order of Merit. Mr Aggarwal has delivered talks on various credit/banking/risk related topics at training colleges, IIT Delhi, IIT, Roorkee and various other institutes and has been on panel of seminars, selection/evaluation Committees.
